My Story

At age seven, I knew I was destined for something extraordinary. Like many kids, I dreamed of becoming an NHL player. But when the reality of never making it to the roster set in, I searched for the next best thing. That’s when I noticed the team photographer—right there on the ice, capturing every exhilarating moment. Inspired, I picked up my first camera, and the lens became my window to a new world.

From that moment, I dove headfirst into photography. I shot everything in sight, took classes throughout high school, and even hired a private tutor to hone my skills. After high school, my curiosity expanded, leading me to pursue a degree in animation and film. While my professional portfolio spans a decade, my passion for capturing moments has been brewing for over 25 years.

A defining moment came when I skipped a 4-hour film lecture to attend an award show in uptown Charlotte. It was there that I met the creative team behind the Charlotte Checkers. That chance encounter led to a two-year internship and sparked my ongoing career in sports broadcasting.
